LocalNewportBeach.NET
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 27, 2026
1. Scope and who we are
This policy covers LocalNewportBeach.NET, an independent Newport Beach guide, and its directory, community, account, advertising, and assistant features. It does not cover websites or services you visit through external links. For questions or requests, use our contact form.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide: contact details and messages; account identifiers and sign-in information; community contributions, photos, reviews, votes, and report details; business claim contact details and evidence; business profile updates; and advertising order and payment-status records. Requests may also include technical information such as page URLs, referring pages, campaign parameters, device/browser information, and diagnostic or security records. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate accounts and the guide, review contributions and business claims, respond to requests, provide purchased placements, prevent abuse, troubleshoot, and meet legal obligations. Joining the community update list requests those updates; it is not a condition of using the guide. Use the contact form to request removal from that list.
4. Private intake and public content
Contact messages, claim evidence, and unreviewed community contributions are private intake, not public directory information. Approved stories, reviews, business facts, photos, and pet reports may be published with relevant display names and attribution. Do not include contact details in a public story, review, or photo. Public pages do not offer an email address or email link; use the contact form. Publicly published content may be indexed, copied, or retained by other people and search engines.
5. Service providers and sharing
Lovable Cloud supports hosting, accounts, storage, and site records. Stripe processes payments; card details are entered into Stripe’s payment interface, not our contact form. Sign-in providers process authentication when you choose them. Our contact-management provider receives successful business listing inquiries and general/business contact requests, including your submitted details and page/referral/campaign information. Privacy, legal, accessibility, and content-report requests are not forwarded by that lead-capture feature. AI and voice providers process messages or audio needed for assistant responses. Providers may process information outside California or the United States. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.
6. Cookies, local storage, and embedded media
The site and its providers may use cookies or browser storage for sign-in, session continuity, preferences, security, payment processing, and diagnostics. Google Fonts, maps links, YouTube privacy-enhanced players, and other third-party resources may receive device/request information; privacy-enhanced embedding does not mean zero collection. External services have their own policies. You can manage cookies and storage through your browser, but blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or checkout. We do not represent browser “Do Not Track” as a universal opt-out mechanism.
7. AI and voice privacy
Assistant messages are sent to AI services for recommendations. If you start voice, microphone audio is transmitted for the live conversation and transcription/response processing. Microphone permission is optional; you can use the guide without voice. Do not share passwords, card data, medical information, or confidential identity documents. The assistant does not receive private claim contacts or private community intake as directory results. Responses may be inaccurate.
8. Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes described here, including responding to requests, operating accounts, moderation, advertising records, fraud prevention, and legally required financial records. Retention depends on the type of record and legal needs; no universal deletion period is promised. We use access restrictions and private storage for sensitive intake, but no website or transmission can be guaranteed secure. Deleting content from the guide may not delete copies held by providers, lawful records, backups, or third parties.
9. Your choices and California privacy requests
Use our contact form and choose “Privacy request” to request access, correction, deletion, account closure, a copy of your information, or information about disclosures. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to limit certain sensitive-information uses or opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising, without discrimination. We do not offer private intake records for sale. Whether a particular disclosure qualifies as “sharing” under California law depends on its purpose and configuration; contact us about opt-out requests, including Global Privacy Control preferences. We will verify identity proportionately and may retain information or decline requests where law permits. Authorized agents should provide proof of authority, not passwords or identity documents in the initial message. These rights do not imply that every privacy law applies to this site.
10. Children and policy changes
The guide is not directed to children under 13, and account, contribution, and purchase features are intended for adults. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us for review and removal. We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change and will update the date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
